Glasgow Caledonian University is perfectly positioned in the centre of Glasgow and our one site campus is the ideal location for your next event or conference. Easily accessible from all transport links, with both train stations and bus station within walking distance, your delegates won’t be short of options on how to find their way to your event. Whether your delegates are looking for hotels, restaurants or shops - Glasgow’s bustling city centre and famed ‘Style Mile’ are on our doorstep. Recently included in the top 10 of ‘Time Out’ magazine’s list of ‘Best Cities in the world’ there is plenty for them to do.

As the 'University for the Common Good' we pride ourselves on our sustainability credentials including being ranked as one of the top 100 sustainable universities in the world by the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings. The campus is also accredited as a Platinum Eco Campus (ISO 14001) as well as holding a Gold Green Tourism Awards.

Civic Reception

The City Chambers is in the very heart of Glasgow and is one of the city’s most important and prestigious buildings. A grand and imposing edifice overlooking George Square, the City Chambers is an impressive symbol of Glasgow’s political strength and historical wealth. Completed in 1888, the City Chambers has for over 100 years been the headquarters of successive councils serving the City of Glasgow.

Conference Dinner

Located at Glasgow Central Station, the award-winning voco Grand Central - Glasgow is an iconic hotel set within Glasgow’s shopping district.  The historic building dates back to 1883. The hotel has original features including the grand staircase and the magnificent Champagne Central Bar with its domed ceiling and marble floor. The elegant Tempus Restaurant & Bar serves both traditional and local specialties, made from seasonal local produce as well as a varied cocktail menu. 

This historic hotel has hosted stars including Frank Sinatra and Charlie Chaplin, and even features in the James Bond book, License Renewed.

Princes Square, Argyll Arcade and St. Enoch Center are all within a 5-minute walk.
